Dr. Basra’s dedication to strengthening international cooperation and elevating standards in security and surveillance has been instrumental in advancing APSA’s mission across borders.
In January 2025, APSA-Nepal Chapter proudly appointed Dr. Basra as Senior Advisor, acknowledging his unparalleled expertise and unwavering commitment to supporting the chapter’s strategic growth. His presence was a highlight at the APSA-Nepal EXCO & AGM held in Kathmandu on 7th April 2025, where his insights resonated deeply with professionals and stakeholders from across South Asia.
Dr. Basra’s stature on the international stage was further recognized at the prestigious Drone World Congress (10th Shenzhen International UAV Expo) on May 25, 2025, in Shenzhen, China.
In a momentous announcement, Chairman Yang Jincai, International President of APSA and Chairman of the World UAV Federation, appointed Dr. Jagtar S. Basra to several esteemed roles:
- Senior Consultant to the World UAV Federation
- Chairman’s Advisor to the World UAV Federation
- Chairman’s Advisor of the Asia Pacific Security Association (APSA International)
- Chairman of the Airport Security Committee
These appointments not only reflect global trust in Dr. Basra’s leadership but also underscore the need for cohesive, internationally informed policies in the areas of UAV, aviation, and integrated security.
We are equally honored to share that Dr. Deepankur Mittal, President of APSA India Chapter, has personally requested Dr. Basra to accept the position of Chairman, APSA India – International Relations & Co-operation. This gesture speaks volumes of the shared vision and deep respect between APSA India and Dr. Basra’s ongoing contributions.
